Me No English!

剛收到一則小故事，PO 來解解悶~~~

A Russian woman married a Canadian gentleman and they lived happily ever after in Toronto . However, the poor lady was not very proficient in English, but did manage to communicate with her husband.  The real problem arose whenever she had to shop for groceries.

One day, she went to the butcher and wanted to buy chicken legs.  She didn't know how to put forward her request, and in desperation, clucked like a chicken and lifted up her skirt to show her thighs. Her butcher got the message, and gave her the chicken legs.

Next day she needed to get chicken breasts, again she didn't know how to say it, and so she clucked like a chicken and unbuttoned her blouse to show the butcher her breasts.  The butcher understood again, and gave her some chicken breasts.

On the 3rd day, the poor lady needed to buy sausages.  Unable to find a way to communicate this, she brought her husband to the store...

Surprisingly, the Russian woman found her butcher also spoke terribly poor English with strong Russian accent,
"Oo..Oo..Ooh!  No!  You are Russian!!!" she screamed excitedly in Russian
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
記得20多年前
內人與我在歐洲自助旅行
搭 night train 從 Amsterdam 清晨抵達 Paris 火車總站
由於饑腸轆轆
立即在車站內買了兩份早餐找個座位開吃
未幾有一對洋夫婦帶著一對小孩到我們桌邊
那位洋太太指指桌旁兩個空位
微笑地用法文問我說
“Est-ce que occupé?”  (這位子有人坐嗎？)
我也用不太流利的法文回答
“Non, asseyez-vous, s’il vous plaît.”  (沒有！請坐！)
於是他們一家4口滿意地擠坐在那兩張椅子上
開始享用他們剛買的早餐
邊吃邊以純正的美語聊他們昨天旅遊趣事
哇ㄌㄟ
